Over just 2 weeks leading up to the AHF 2026 Annual Meeting (June 4–6, 2026), selected Fellows will travel across the U.S. to observe advanced cases, exchange ideas with world-class mentors, and experience diverse surgical settings firsthand. This high-impact program compresses years of experience into just a few weeks, combining OR observation, mentorship, and participation in the world’s premier anterior hip event..

In 2026 we’ll have TWO parallel Fellowship tracks, each with four stops at leading orthopedic centers. Both converge in Nashville for AHF 2026. We’ll share the details of each track when they are finalized, but for reference , here are the 2025 tracks.

The 2026 AHF Traveling Fellowship is based on multiple visits across the U.S. with leading anterior hip surgeons and diverse learning experiences. We're currently finalizing the 2026 hosts and locations, however, we anticipate that the itineraries will be similar to the 2025 Fellowship.
2025 Traveling Fellowship Itineraries
Track One
Stop 1: California
Surgeries with Dr. Alexander Sah in both hospital and ASC settings.
Stop 2: Colorado
Surgical sessions and consults with Dr. Joel Matta and Dr. Kris Alden.
Stop 3: Georgia
OR time with Dr. Charles DeCook and Dr. Thomas Bradbury.
Stop 4: Kentucky
Clinics and surgeries with Dr. Jonathan Yerasimides.
Track Two
Stop 1: California
A visit to Hoag Orthopedic Institute in Irvine, CA with Drs. Robert Gorab and Jay Patel
Stop 2: New York
Columbia – New York, NY with Dr. H. John Cooper
Stop 3: New York
This stop visits HSS to spend time with Dr. Eytan Debbi
Stop 4: Virgina
A trip to the Anderson Clinic in Arlington, VA with Drs. Robert Sershon and William Hamilton
Stop 5: Tennessee
The AHF 2026 Conference, comprising keynote sessions, workshops, networking events and pre-conference lab.

The AHF Traveling Fellowship provides financial support, including:
- Round-trip airfare and in-country travel.
- Hotel accommodations.
- Registration for the AHF Annual Meeting.

Who Should Apply?
The Fellowship is ideal for early-career orthopedic surgeons who are:
- Within 1-5 years of practice.

- Preferably based in the U.S. (however international applicants will be considered)
