Prior to using an anterior approach for a primary hip, Dr. Matta had used the technique for a decade for selected revisions that required extensive reconstruction for acetabular bone loss.

Former AHF president (2021-2022 Dr. Charles DeCook is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in knee and hip replacements. He has performed over 10,000 total joint replacements and 7,000 anterior hip replacements to date.
Dr. Yerasimides has performed over 11,500 anterior hip replacements in his career and is considered an authority in the field of anterior revision surgeries.
