Transformative Learning in Anterior Hip Arthroplasty
Building on the success of the inaugural 2024 Fellowship, the 2025 Fellowship offers opportunities for early-career surgeons to refine their surgical techniques and broaden their understanding of anterior hip arthroplasty.
This immersive, OR-focused Fellowship emphasizes:
- Efficiency in anterior hip replacement workflows.
- Advanced techniques for both primary and revision surgeries.
- Exposure to ASC and hospital settings, allowing Fellows to learn in diverse environments.
- Discussions and observations covering outpatient joint replacement, pain management strategies, and cutting-edge technologies.
During the Fellowship, you will:
- Shadow world-renowned AHF Board members and experts in anterior hip arthroplasty.
- Participate in hands-on learning and interactive discussions with mentors.
- Attend the Anterior Hip Foundation Annual Meeting, where you’ll exchange ideas with peers, network with industry leaders, and gain access to the latest advancements in anterior hip surgery.
Provisional Schedule
The 2025 AHF Traveling Fellowship is based on multiple visits across the U.S. with leading anterior hip surgeons and diverse learning experiences:
Track One
Stop 1: Fremont, California
Surgeries with Dr. Alexander Sah in both hospital and ASC settings.
Stop 2: Vail, Colorado
Surgical sessions with the legendary Dr. Joel Matta.
Stop 3: Atlanta, Georgia
Operative and conference sessions with Dr. Charles DeCook.
Stop 4: Louisville, Kentucky
Clinics and surgeries with Dr. Jonathan Yerasimides.
Stop 5: Nashville, Tennessee
Participate in the AHF Fellows/Residents Lab.
Attend the Anterior Hip Foundation Annual Meeting, including keynote sessions, workshops, and networking events.
New Secondary Track
For 2025, AHF plans to introduce a parallel second track featuring new locations and additional fellowship positions. Watch this space for updates.
What the Fellowship Covers
The AHF Traveling Fellowship provides financial support, including:
